9D Breathwork in Tallinn for stress that will not switch off

Headphones. Guided breath. Layered sound. A held room when your mind is busy, your body is tense, or rest no longer restores you.

People look for 9D Breathwork when something in daily life feels stuck in high gear. Not always a big story. Often a pattern: shallow sleep, tight chest, short fuse, or a head that keeps running after the day ends.

Who usually shows up

These are the problems we hear most, and the ones people actually search for:

Stress that stays in the body after work, even when the laptop is closed.
Anxiety you feel physically: restless breath, buzzing mind, hard to settle.
Burnout and flat tiredness that sleep alone does not fix.
Emotional load: grief, old tension, or feelings that surface without a neat label.

This is not medical treatment. If you are in acute crisis, or your doctor has told you to avoid intense breathing, start there first. We are honest about that below.

What 9D Breathwork actually is

9D Breathwork is a guided session with headphones. You lie down. You breathe in an active, connected pattern. You hear a layered soundscape built for this work: voice guidance, spatial audio, and frequencies designed to hold attention so the mind has less room to argue.

Think of it as a constellation, not a single trick. Breath. Sound. Voice. The room. And the expectancy of being held for 60 to 90 minutes without needing to perform.

The 9D format is a licensed system with a specific protocol. That matters, because not all breathwork facilitation is equivalent: certification, training, and screening practice differ across providers.

The constellation

Breath that keeps moving, so sensation can rise and settle.
Headphones and multi-layer sound, so outside noise drops away.
A facilitator voice in your ear, pacing and grounding.
A quiet studio room at Narva mnt 7D, with mat and blanket ready.

What people experience

It is unique per person. Same room, different body. Some cry. Some shake. Some go quiet and heavy. Some feel tingling, heat, or waves through the chest. Some feel almost nothing in the session, then notice a softer edge the next day.

You can stop anytime. Slow the breath. Sit up. Signal the facilitator. Intensity is not a score.

Men at 9D Breathwork

Many men arrive quietly curious, but unsure whether this kind of session is for them. That hesitation is worth naming. Breathwork sessions are not therapy groups. There is no sharing circle unless you want one. You lie down, breathe, and whatever moves through you is yours.

In practice, men often find the structure helpful. The headphones remove social watching. The breath gives you something to do. Many men report that what moves after the session is more noticeable than what happened during it: the quieter edge the next morning, a looser jaw, a head that runs less.

Women at 9D Breathwork

Many women arrive already carrying a significant load: chronic over-responsibility, stress held for others, or grief with no clean address. The session asks nothing of you but to lie down and breathe. You do not need to hold the room.

Common experiences include deep emotional release, a sense of finally arriving in the body, and the physical letting-go of tension held in the chest, shoulders, or belly. Some women find the session easier to integrate than talking about it.

Age and emotional history

Adults from their twenties through their seventies have attended sessions at Goyoga. There is no upper age limit that applies across the board; the physical contraindications (heart, blood pressure, epilepsy) are more relevant than the number of years. The facilitator's screening conversation before the session is the right place to discuss your specific picture.

Emotional history (past trauma, difficult periods, a therapy background) is worth mentioning when you write to us, not to disqualify you, but so the facilitator can be present in the way that fits. Most people with a therapy history find that breathwork complements rather than conflicts with their ongoing work. We say that honestly, not as a sales point.

Honest science, short

There is little peer-reviewed research on the branded “9D” format itself. Do not read marketing as clinical proof.

There is growing evidence that structured breathwork can lower self-reported stress and anxiety for many adults. That is related research, not a claim that 9D cures trauma or replaces therapy.

Children and young people

Open adult 9D groups can feel intense. For children and teens, Goyoga offers a more suitable held format with Liina Täht, or we can arrange one, rather than placing a young person straight into a regular adult group date.

If you are considering breathwork for a child or teenager, write to us before booking. We will explain how the youth-oriented sessions work, what parent or guardian involvement looks like, and which option fits.

If a young person is experiencing stress, anxiety, or emotional difficulty, seek qualified clinical support when needed. Breathwork complements professional care. It does not replace it.

Why certified facilitation matters

Goyoga works exclusively with Liina Täht, who is officially licensed as a 9D Breathwork facilitator. The 9D format is a certified system with a specific training pathway, screening protocol, and code of practice. Other facilitators exist in Estonia and internationally. When choosing any breathwork provider, it is reasonable to ask about their specific training, what screening they do, and how they manage sessions where strong emotions arise.

The market for breathwork and neuroscience-adjacent emotional experiences has grown quickly. Not all of it is trained facilitation. Active breathing combined with emotional activation and music can produce powerful states. That power requires a skilled, trained person in the room.

Screening: ask first if this is you

Intense active breathing is not for every body. Please message us before booking if any of this applies:

Pregnancy, or medical advice to avoid intense breathing
Heart condition, uncontrolled high blood pressure, epilepsy or seizure history
Recent major surgery, or a mental health crisis where more intensity could flood you

If old pain or trauma history is part of your story, say so when you write. We can help you choose a gentler entry, or point you toward care that fits better. Flooding is not the goal. Steady release is.

Aftercare

Drink water. Eat something simple. Keep the evening light if you can. Feelings can keep moving for a day or two. Walk, journal, or rest. If you feel shaky or overwhelmed afterward, message us. You are not meant to white-knuckle it alone.

Frequently asked questions

What does a 9D Breathwork session feel like?
You lie on a mat with headphones. You breathe in a continuous connected rhythm. The audio guides the session. Responses vary: heat, tingling, waves through the chest, tears, calm heaviness, or very little during the session followed by a shift the next day. All of these are normal.
Do I need experience with breathwork or yoga?
No prior experience is needed. If you can breathe, you can do this. The facilitator explains the pattern before the session begins.
How long does a session last?
Sessions typically run 60 to 90 minutes, including arrival, the breathwork itself, and a short integration period at the end.
Is 9D Breathwork the same as Breathwork and Pranayama?
No. Our separate Breathwork and Pranayama practice is live verbal conscious-breathing training, familiar to many Ashtanga practitioners. 9D is the headphone-guided session with layered sound. Different formats, different experiences.
Can I stop if it becomes too intense?
Yes, always. You can slow the breath, sit up, or signal the facilitator at any point. Intensity is not a sign of progress. The facilitator is present throughout.
Is this suitable if I have anxiety?
Many people with anxiety find the session useful. It is worth messaging us first to describe your situation. If anxiety is currently acute or destabilising, please speak with a doctor or therapist before attending. We prefer honest conversations over booking anyone into something that is not right for them.
How do I book a group session?
Group sessions are listed as studio events. Open any upcoming date to see the price and registration link. Use the contact form below to ask about the next date, a private session, or a small-group booking.
Is Liina Täht certified specifically in 9D Breathwork?
Yes. Liina is Estonia's first officially licensed 9D Breathwork facilitator and also holds a trauma-healing coach certification. You can see her certification documents on her teacher profile.
